Unfortunately I did not purchase it at the Shiny Squirrel pop up store at International Playground BUT I did buy a DLC heavy weight multi chain 90s chanel - ish necklace for my lovely aunt as an Xmas present!!

I was so excited to see my good friends, Adam and Joe, from Bear In Heaven wearing no lost witches t-shirts when they played the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest on July 12th in Canada. Wow they really did the shirts justice!

lets talk Bear In Heaven....

One of the most excellent bands out there today! I hope they are getting psyched for their USA tour with Twin Sister, and for the numerous (and quite impressive) European festivals that are awaiting their arrival this summer. Last Friday the band dominated the South Street Seaport show which they headlined and were able to draw what looked like 500+++ Bear In Heaven fans.

They too have some awesome t-shirts for sale that you can gawk at and purchase form their MERCH STORE.

Their NEWEST band shirt design is off the hook and not up on their website yet. SO, it looks like you will have to check out one of their shows ASAP to grab it.

i have been a fan of gatekeeper for quite sometime, but apparently not a big enough fan to know that they had a video, and a good one at that! i was going to post a widget of their track Optimus Maximus, but I think the video + the song is a better deal. Video made by Tommy Boy visit Tommy Boy's vimeo Vimeo! i would go to their myspace if i were you. not only can you hear more of gatekeeper's music (which makes me feel like i am in miami 1984, dancing - among other things) but you can see some wild videos that other bands have posted on their wall.... such as pwin teaks (might have to blog about them and their video art tomorrow, but just learning about them today), and master susperia vision

Rosalind Russell wears the 2 most exceptional outfits, styled with 2 quite unique looking hats in the 1940 Howard Hawks thrilling comedy His Girl Friday. i hope you enjoy my screen shots.. and if you have time see the flick, not only is there a fast paced and entertaining plot, but you will be able to see her outfits in motion... the structure of each garment, and the construction of the hats is something you do not see today on the streets. bottom line, her character is able to dominate the screen in these striking looks that are a tad masculine and sporty..got to love it!

after watching the witches of eastwick (1987) with 2 close friends, we all noticed how amazing the women's wardrobe was. it was truely magical and i must show you now. thank you to Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Cher for looking so awesome. and thank you Aggie Guerard Rodgers and Linda Henrikson for being a fantastic costume designer and supervisor... i mean hello they did beatle juice!
